Three Dresses, One Very Pretty Neckline

Today was the first I heard about Prince William's wedding (I finally emerged from my cave). And when I saw Kate's wedding dress, I thought it was lovely, particularly the flattering neckline. Then I realized, hey, that is the same neckline I had on my wedding dress (except I had to add some fancy ruffles to keep my new underwear from peeking out).

I did feel like a princess on my wedding day.

Picture that inspired my wedding dress.
And I bet my dress designer was a bargain compared to Kate's.

Running Robie with Roxie

8.5 miles up
4.6 miles down

I walked every step with my Mom.

Her tights were a big crowd pleaser. She got so many compliments. I mean she got soooooooo many compliments.

Fun Facts about my Mom:
1) she has painted for at least 30 minutes per day for the last 180 days (or something like that)

2) she can do the splits on both sides

3) she does 67 men's pushups every single day (her arms speak for themselves)

Things Mike Drew in Sacrament Meeting

His niece, Beka, is obsessed with piggies and constantly requests that he draw pictures of piggies eating things. I spared you the picture of a piggie eating a man's ear (really just because she scribbled all over it).

Wanna Be Teen

My friend Chris's band (Chris is at 3 o'clock in the pic above) is getting some pretty cool press including being featured on MTV. I have provided myself to be way too lame to really be a Teen groupie. The one time we went to watch him play, their show got delayed and I pooped out early. I have really good intentions to try again. But I did listen to the bit on MTV and quite enjoyed it.

I can unequacably say I am a fan of Chris himself. He is consistently charming and amusing and seems to be a lovely boyfriend to my dear friend Katie.

Cake Pop Horrors

This weekend we succumbed to the temptations of the internet and decided to make cake pops for the nieces and nephews. It started out as a complete disaster. Nearly all of our cake balls fell off the sticks and were destroyed. I was ready to give up and recommit to craft-free lifestyle but Mike came through and figured out how thin the chocolate has to be. For any of you stupid enough to want to try this, the chocolate needs to be like water (just keep adding crisco). In the end though, the kids really did like the critters so that almost made it worth it.

Reject cake balls :(
